What a Byrna is
The alternative to deadly force
A Byrna is a CO₂-powered launcher that fires .61 or .68 caliber projectiles — kinetic, pepper or a combination — with an effective range of 60 feet. It is not a firearm, it is not regulated as one, and it is legal in all 50 states.
Byrna's patented pull-pierce system means the CO₂ cartridge stays sealed until the trigger is pulled, so a launcher can sit in a drawer for years and still work on the first shot. There are more than 110 parts inside one, built from the same glass-infused polymers, military-grade aluminum and stainless steel used by major firearm manufacturers.
